It was fun to be at the Smoky Mtn. Songwriters Festival in Gatlinburg!  A big thanks to all who attended my workshop, "Arranging the Hit".  I was honored to be invited to sit in on a hit songwriters round with Kim Williams (Ain't Goin' Down til the Sun Goes Up - Garth Brooks), Doug Johnson (Three Wooden Crosses - Randy Travis, co-written with Kim Williams), Jim McBride (Chattahoochee - Alan Jackson) and Wil Nance (She's Everything - Brad Paisley). Three Wooden Crosses is my favorite record that I've ever played on, and it was cool to sit in with the guys who wrote it (playing the guitar that  I used for the record).  Here we are singing Rocky Top (across the street from where it was written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant).  Much fun was had!
